Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative 4th Annual Symposium
May 15 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Please mark your calendars for the Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative’s fourth Annual Symposium to be held on Thursday May 15th from 1:00-5:00 pm in the Environmental Conservation Center (4th Floor) in the Nature Research Center at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
The Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative (CBC) is an initiative formed by faculty doing biodiversity research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University along with the North Carolina Botanical Garden and Herbarium, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, and the North Carolina State University Insect Museum!
The mission of the CBC is to (i) promote and advocate for biodiversity research (e.g. facilitating collaborations and interactions through work shops, seminars, etc.), (ii) provide guidance and training for those seeking careers in biodiversity research (e.g. development of “off campus” course opportunities), and (iii) enhance public understanding and appreciation of biodiversity (e.g. public outreach events).
Details on the symposium, including more information on how you can participate and register online, will be forthcoming. But for now, please save the date.
SIncerely,
The Symposium Planning Committee
