About
A global biodiversity crisis is unfolding:
Species are being lost at an alarming rate. Such losses have downstream implications for economic development, sustainability, and human health. Society needs moonshot-level fixes to stop–and repair–the damage, while deepening our appreciation, value, and understanding of biodiversity.
The Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative addresses the biodiversity crisis by bringing together researchers who are focused on understanding and preserving biodiversity.
Who we are:
We are a partnership of UNC faculty, the North Carolina Botanical Garden and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
Our mission:
Address the biodiversity crisis by advocating for biodiversity research, promoting education and training in biodiversity-related careers, and engaging in public education and outreach.
