Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative – 2nd Annual Symposium

Register now for the Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative’s Second Annual Symposium to be held on Wednesday May 3rd from 1:00-4:00pm in the Environmental Conference Center (ECC) at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences (with optional behind the scenes museum tours and happy hour from 4:00-5:30 pm).

1:05 – 1:15 Introduction to the CBC, Karin Pfennig, Dept. of Biology, UNC Chapel Hill
1:15 – 1:45 Featured talk by Alan Weakley, Dept. of Biology & Herbarium, UNC Chapel Hill
1:50 – 2:20 Featured talk by Christy Flint, Director of Education, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
2:45 – 3:15 Panel discussion on “Obstacles & Solutions to Teaching Biodiversity-Related Courses”
3:20 – 3:50 “Speed Dating”: a fast way to meet new biodiversity colleagues!
4:00 – 4:30 Optional behind-the-scenes tours of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences

4:30 – 5:30 Optional “Biodiversity Happy Hour” at the Museum’s Daily Planet Café (Food and drinks available for purchase)
