Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative 3rd Annual Symposium

May 13 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The CBC’s third annual symposium will be held on Monday May 13th from 1:00-5:00pm at the North Carolina Botanical Garden.

Join us for the Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative’s (CBC) Third Annual Symposium aimed at bringing together, and building community among, biodiversity researchers and educators from across the region. The Carolina Biodiversity Collaborative (CBC) is an initiative formed by the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Department of Biology faculty doing biodiversity research, in partnership with the North Carolina Botanical Garden and Herbarium and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! Partnership extensions are currently underway with North Carolina State University and Duke University.

The mission of the CBC is to (i) promote and advocate for biodiversity research (e.g. facilitating collaborations and interactions through work shops, seminars, etc.), (ii) provide guidance and training for those seeking careers in biodiversity research (e.g. development of “off campus” course opportunities), and (iii) enhance public understanding and appreciation of biodiversity (e.g. public outreach events).
